Chest pain with inverted T waves, predominantly in precordial leads, as the only electrocardiographic abnormality.

Sixty-nine hospitalized who rest and lasting at least 15 minutes, and whose electrocardiographic changes were limited to deeply inverted T waves predominantly in the precordial leads, were selected from a large series of patients. The hospital course and electrocardiographic changes of these patients were studied. After an average follow-up period of 4 years, approximately half the patients were still able to work.
